Sharaputdin "Shara Bullet" Magomedov is a one-eyed Russian UFC prospect who is coming off a spectacular victory over Armen Petrosyan. Magomedov won the fight with a second-round double spinning backfist knockout, further solidifying his reputation as one of the top prospects in the middleweight division. His skill set has drawn comparisons to the retired Zabit Magomedsharipov, particularly for his unorthodox striking and athleticism.

On the other side, Michael "Venom" Page, a British fighter, has spent the majority of his career in the Bellator MMA promotion. Known for his dynamic and entertaining fighting style, Page has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting fighters in the welterweight division. Of his 22 career wins, only six have gone to decision, underscoring his ability to finish fights in style. This will be just his third UFC bout, following a record of one win and one loss in his first two appearances.

The fight will take place on 1st February in Saudi Arabia. The location is due to Magomedov's unique situation—he is not currently sanctioned to fight in the United States because he has only one eye through which he can see, limiting his eligibility for competition in some regions.

While this fight presents a challenge for Magomedov, it may not be as risky as other potential matchups. One key factor is the size advantage Magomedov holds over Page. As a middleweight, Magomedov towers over Page, who is primarily a welterweight and has not yet cracked the rankings in his own division. Meanwhile, Magomedov is ranked #14 in the middleweight division, suggesting that the UFC is giving him a relatively favourable matchup. In comparison, a fight against a true middleweight contender like Paulo Costa would be a much tougher test. Costa has fought for the title, challenged former champions, and faced elite competition. With his loss to Sean Strickland, Costa would likely stand to gain or lose a great deal by facing a rising contender like Magomedov.

In summary, the matchup heavily favours Shara Bullet, who has the size and athletic advantage over Page. However, Page brings experience to the table, which could prove valuable if the fight stretches into the later rounds. If the bout goes the distance, Page may be able to rely on his veteran savvy to navigate the challenges posed by Magomedov. Nonetheless, Shara Bullet remains the heavy favourite heading into this contest.
